A Tour of LAND HO

LAND HO is a studio located in Kamata, a neighborhood that forms the southern end of Tokyo.

One of the characteristics of the area is its abundance of places to eat, especially Chinese restaurants that serve delicious dumplings and ramen.

In fact, the number of restaurants around Kamata Station is said to be the second highest in Tokyo, after Shinjuku Station. You can easily get spoiled with a Kamata quality lunch: they are reasonably priced, come in large portions and are high in calories. (Definitely not the best place for vegetarians or people on a diet!) It’s also a great place for drinking with a countless number of small bars.

Kamata might not necessarily be the coolest place the world, but it’s a cozy and convenient neighborhood with its own unique charm.

Many of our mobile/social games are developed on this floor. The number of smart phones and smart tablets one can find on this floor is ridiculously high.
2nd Floor Meeting Space
This meeting room has a large screen television that’s also used as a monitor to share information during meetings. It’s also the largest meeting room in the office.

Library Corner
Comics, DVDs and games contributed by employees are stored here for everyone to share. The big collection of comedy shows are personal belongings of the CEO!
4th Floor
A game featuring dragons is being developed on this floor. It’s a Kinect game, so you can see people moving their hands in the air ? it might look a little odd if you didn’t know about the Kinect! The floor is filled with all kinds of dragon figures, too. The Visual Contents Development Department is also located on a corner of the same floor, but since they are always working outside the company, their space has been taken over by the dragon team and shrunken considerably!

The CEO’s Desk

The CEO’s Desk
Unlike most company CEOs, there is no chair behind the LAND HO CEO’s desk. Instead, he sits on a rubber balance ball. There’s also a trampoline he bounces on for precisely five minutes every day. Our CEO is very health-conscious! The sofas were used as sets for a TV show.
